All students who visited the garden remember her friendly clucking and warm attitude. She was a sufferer of Marek’s disease, a paralysis condition with no known treatment. Her forlorn demise last August was a loss for the whole school. She is survived by her close chicken friends Josephine and Gertrude, and her acquaintances Poppy, Sage, and Iris. “Gladys was a sweet chicken who brought a lot of joy to our community and she will be greatly missed.” -Ms. Kasey |
