Since it is finally fall, you can experience the warmth of pumpkin spice lattes in your hands, the comfort in oversized sweaters, and new television shows. Leaves falling down, pumpkins everywhere, and holidays coming up. The creepy feeling going up your spine, jack-o-lanterns on the porch, the turkey on the dinner table with the pumpkin pie waiting to be in your mouth? You can expect these things and many more this fall.
Pumpkin spice lattes (also known as the PSL) are what many people look forward to during the fall. People like theses delicious lattes because of their seasoned pumpkin pie flavor and the creamy whipped cream on top. All you have to do is walk to your nearest Starbucks. Get ready to devour this in one sip.
It’s almost the holidays, and people enjoy getting that vibe. Do you like wearing sweaters that are sizes too large for you? Well then this is your season. Sweaters and sweatpants are going on sale for that comfy fall feeling. Black Friday is also coming up on November 24, so get ready and prepare for these amazing deals.
Another reason to look forward to fall is the new shows. The Brave from NBC is one of the shows coming out. Others include The Crossing (ABC), Young Sheldon (CBS), The Gifted (FOX), and The Good Doctor (ABC). Many people are excited about the new television shows (and there are many who will dress up as their favorite character this Halloween). Stay tuned for the latest updates!

It’s that AWESOME time of year! It’s basically Halloween! When you get to dress up as your favorite anything and watch horror movies while eating candy. Plus, it’s the only day of the year where you’re encouraged to take candy from strangers! Also, during all of October, you can get pumpkin flavored anything. Pumpkin Cheerios, pumpkin Cliff Bars, pumpkin pie M&M’s, pumpkin ice cream(!). Yes! There’s also candy that will be given out during lunch by the SNBC Beacon program. During the end of the month SNBC will be giving out candy or other delicious treats like pretzels, candy, popsicles and more! Also, on apps like Pinterest or Youtube you can find awesome Halloween DIYs and recipes, like pizza skulls and ghost sugar cookies, or even SCARY healthy snacks. If you don’t want to have to make food you can also buy some Halloween foods from Safeway(or basically anywhere). Let’s get excited for Halloween!

Gladys, one of our cherished chickens, was grimly ripped from our school last summer. All students who visited the garden remember her friendly clucking and warm attitude. She was a sufferer of Marek’s disease, a paralysis condition with no known treatment. Her forlorn demise last August was a loss for the whole school. She is survived by her close chicken friends Josephine and Gertrude, and her acquaintances Poppy, Sage, and Iris.
“Gladys was a sweet chicken who brought a lot of joy to our community and she will be greatly missed.”
