Supercell, a game creator, added a new amazing action-packed game called Brawl Stars. It officially launched globally on December 12th, 2018.   A lot of Supercell’s games that come out are ”killed”. So far, only some games like Clash of Clan, Boom Beach, Hay Day, and Clash Royale have survived to this point. Now Brawl Stars will be joining them in surviving. Many people thought that they might kill the game when it soft launched only in Canada on June 14th 2018.

I think the big update really helped the game have more people playing it. The game now has more room on the map and it looks cooler because it is 3D. The maps are now 4 tiles wider. They also created some new game modes, like Life Leech, to make the game more fun. They also added some more sound effects to some of the Brawlers. They also added some more skins to the game for Shelly, Bull, Nita, Brock, Dynamike, Barley and Penny. They changed some of the character skins to look cooler and make them 3D like Bandita Shelly, Panda Nita, Viking Bull, Golden Barley, and Beach Brock.

There were also some balance changes that happened with the update. The saddest part is what happened to Darryl, a character in Brawl Star. He got a health and damage debuff during the new update. His super, or special move, is his rolling ability and it was shortened as well, so on some heist maps, he can barely roll over the river. Gladly, he is the only character that can charge their super automatically over 20 seconds into the game. This update might help Bull because Darryl used to be better than Bull, but now Darryl isn’t a “tank”.

It was super cool that they added Leon in the game. He is a new legendary in the game along with Crow and Spike. He shoots four leaf blades in an arc with medium range that do more damage when he is closer to the opponent. His super can make him go invisible for 10 seconds, but he is exposed when he does/takes damage. The new balance changes might have “overkilled” him so when he goes in a 4 tile range of the player, he is exposed automatically and there will be an eye icon to show he is visible. Still, he is the most powerful Brawler in the game and he is good or okay at all of the game modes.

Also, there will be a new mythic Brawler, Gene. He is a new Brawler that does 1400 damage. His super launches a magical hand from his lamp that pulls enemies toward him. They will be releasing him in mid-February along with other new skins for Brock, Colt, Darryl, Bull, Poco, and more.

Here are some game modes you can play in: Showdown is a game mode where you and nine other Brawlers will brawl until one Brawler remains. There is poison gas that will keep shrinking the map until there is one Brawler left. In Gem Grab, you and your team will fight another team in a 3v3 to get 10 gem to win. In Heist, you have to defeat the other team’s safe. In Brawl Ball, you have to score 2 times in the enemy’s goal to win. Bounty is where you kill players and get a star. The more stars you have, the more valuable you are to the other team. Boss fight is 1v5 which the boss has 100,000 health points and up. You have to kill the boss in a certain amount of time to win. In Robo Rumble, you try to survive and kill bots. Life Leech is a game mode where your health ticks down while killing players and get a skull. The skull gives max health so you can keep on playing. Watch out for Gene in the upcoming update!
